Willing Chin-Ma

Chief Operating Officer

Willing joined Grand St. Settlement in 1998, serving as as the Director of Operations and key member of the Executive team; in 2004 she was made Associate Executive Director. Willing has been the driving force in creating high-quality early childhood care and education at Grand St. Settlement, where over 350 children and their families receive services in five centers. She is leading efforts to expand early childhood services in Brooklyn, through a new Federal Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership contract. She has also been a tremendous asset to the development of our services for older adults, as she was responsible for managing the $11+ million construction of our Senior Apartments, a 74-unit housing complex for low-income seniors completed in 2006 with the Federal Housing and Urban Development grant. Willing has been instrumental in forging the organization’s role in the upcoming development of Essex Crossing, positioning Grand St. Settlement for significant capital and programmatic growth. She received a BA in Sociology and Counseling from Hunter College and completed her Masters of Social Work from New York University.
