What’s more classic NYC than a bacon, egg and cheese? Grand Street Settlement.

What’s more classic NYC than a bacon, egg and cheese?
Grand Street Settlement.

Long before bodegas began serving food made to order, Grand St. Settlement served New Yorkers with programs made from scratch.

Every year since 2001, New Yorkers have come together to support their neighbors and eat the best bites in town at Taste of the Lower East Side. In 2026, Taste featured 47 restaurants, 800+ guests and, for the first time, Rosy’s Bodega, named after our founder, Rose Gruening.
