Grand Street helps over 2,300 older adults build community, stay active and learn new things. The Nutrition Facts feature just one day of possible activities, with approximately 35 total classes, workshops, and celebrations offered throughout the week. Like a healthy breakfast, a good education gives kids a Head Start. Grand Street recently expanded to the Bronx, opening six new Head Start centers. If you see one of the cute animals on the back of the box when you’re walking through your neighborhood, you may have found one of them.

Part of supporting children is supporting their whole family. Grand Street offers programs that benefit parents’ physical, mental, and financial wellness and supports them in planning their future. The official beverages of Summer Camp, After School Programs and Teen Tech
Summer-aid celebrates the beginnings of Grand Street when founder Rose Gruening repurposed used trolley cars to create Camp Moodna in 1907. Fast forward to the present: powered by STEAM education, Afterskool-aid and Empower-aid celebrate youth exploring their passions. Guests at Taste of the Lower East Side got to see the robot they made in action!

Jump At The Muesuem
Once a month Grand Street kids get out and explore the city through JUMP. Volunteer mentors take mentees in elementary or high school on adventures to places they may not visit in a typical week. Learn More about being a volunteer.
About The Concept
Grand Street partnered with Brooklyn-based Almst studio to make imaginary products come to to life through art and storytelling. The bodega let guests explore Grand Street’s history and impact in a bite-sized way.
